Reflection 2

Reflection 2

In this part I am going to write what I have learned in these courses. As a start, I recognized new forms of spelling and I have known a lot of words. There are 10 quizzes and you must bring a score above 60% to open the other quizzes. Also there is the research that I have done about parking and troubles in Abu Dhabi and another country; this gave me more information about what problems the country has and I have suggested some solution in essays. I like this course a lot and it taught us a lot of new things that will help us in other courses. I will take these skills that I learned and apply them on my other courses. I believe that research is a very useful tool to take out information about problems and write some solutions.

Parking Problem

Parking Problems
Parking in our country has many problems such as people that live in towers like Khalidiya and Hamdan street. There are buildings which have 24 floors and parking for just 10 cars. There are some people who have more than one car so they must park in a wrong place which causes a traffic problem and parking problem and sometimes people from other towers come and park their cars in the other parking towers. Another problem is when shops in Abu Dhabi don’t have enough parking for their customers like some shops have a lot of visitors and a few parking spaces so they must park on the main road to enter the shop which causes a traffic problem. (Khalidiya and Hamdan streets .(2011)). Another problem is when there is no parking for employees that want to enter their work so in some places such as the Etisalat building they must park in a wrong place to get to their work which causes a traffic and parking problem for customers and they will come late to work which will make the work slow for customers and their managers. Third, college and universities have also parking problems where a lot of people come to college and there is parking for less people so some students must park on the grass and some of them park behind each other which causes problems for other people to get out from their parking.

Possible solutions are that in Khalidiya and Hamdan streets, if towers make underground parking it will be very good and there will be a lot of parking for all people  in the tower and there will be no traffic problem. Second solution: shops in Abu Dhabi should do a lot of parking like they must make more parking spaces or a underground parking .Third solution: Etisalat should make parking for their customers and their employees to make their employees come to work on time because they will have their own people and nobody will be late for work. Colleges and universities must make more parking or make a building for students to park in.
The Mawaqif also solved a lot of problems such as anyone who wants to park must pay a fee of 2 Dhs of standard parking max 24 hours and 3dhs for premium parking for max 4 hours. It is good that people will go and come on time to let others use the parking and now there is a lot of space to park in Abu Dhabi. This company is making sure people who do not pay for the parking will get a fine of about 500dhs. (Mawaqif  .2011.)
In Virginia Beach they have a problem parking for the ones who want to go to the beach, restaurants and the homes. There is no enough parking for them all so the city is planning to do a space near the beach where people can park their cars there. (Parking woes sink plans for Oceanfront club 'Eden2011)

Reflection

Reflection

In this part I am going to write what I have learned in writing these essays. As a start, I recognized new forms of writing which are the compare and contrast and procedure. I learned that in writing compare and contrast essays I have to explain the issue that I am going to write about in the introduction part. After that I learned to write the similarities and differences of the two topics that I wrote about like comparing the Bugatti and Porsche 911 turbo; also I am able to write the steps of compare and contrast. I consider myself a lucky person because I got the chance to write and now I am able to organize my ideas in a professional way. And of course I will take these skills that I learned and apply them on my other courses. I believe that writing is a very useful tool for learning English and it helps us learn not only writing but also learning how to read and speak at the same time. Also we learned how to do a blogger and upload our work in the blogger to let others see it and learn more information from each other.

Storage Devices

Storage Devices
Part 1
This section is going to discuss the history of storage devices technology. As we all know, storage devices have been through many changes and developments. This technology has started with floppy disks. People around the world were using them. They were really popular. I used to save pictures and music on them but the storage was small and that made a problem of storage capacity. It didn’t satisfy people’s needs because they need more capacity. After that new technology came in and it was called CD-ROM (Compact Disc Read-Only Memory); this technology was a great invention; individuals and companies around the world were using it to save all forms of data and transfer. It also had different sizes, for example 700 MB to 900 MB of capacity actually it depends on personal need[1] (The Invention of Compact Discs.2005). After a while another new technology came, called the USB (Universal Serial Bus); today it is more popular than the CD; it has many different sizes from 1MB to 63MB and above. It comes in multi shapes and it is very useful specially for us as students, to store any kind of data. After the USB came the portable Hard Disk which has also become useful and it is used by a large group but it is more expensive than the previous storage device technology that I mentioned above.

Most people today are using different types of technology. It depends on their personal need. Nowadays most people are using more than one technology; for example I use a CD for saving music. It can be used for saving programs and small software. I use a USB for storing data like project documents because it is easy to use for deleting and adding any data; I use a hard disk for programs and spare copies of my important documents and data. Because some computers have small size of capacity so the people have a chance to save any size data.
Part 2
I am going to explain how this technology has impacted our IT. Storage devices are manufactured to make our education.  They are simple, conferrable and easy to use. These days data storage is a very important element in every field. So professionals always need somewhere to store their documents or any other data. They cannot live any more without storage devices. The technology of storage devices has improved efficiency. New systems for storing data are becoming very popular, which is the online data storage. I will explain how this system is working; this system evolved with a third party service, and this party stores our data in trusted servers.[2] (Storage devises.2010)

The future of storage devices is looking bright they will be much smaller and faster. A Japanese research team has discovered a super disk material that will have a low price and very high storage capacity. They say its storage capacity will be thousands of times greater than the DVD.[3] (Physorg.2010) So all other types of storage devices would be more advanced in the capacity, size and speed. People will depend on them more and more.

Many people like sport cars and there are a lot of sport cars and many companies that make them. I will write about the two best cars. The Bugatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 turbo. I am going to describe the similarities and differences between them.
There are several similarities between the Bugaatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 turbo. The first similarity is that they are both sport cars. The second similarity is that  both cars are fast. The third similarity is that they are very expensive cars so it’s only a few people that can buy these sport cars.
I am going to write the differences between the Bugatti Veyron and the Porsche 911 turbo. The first difference is that the Bugatti Veyron price is very high, about $1,980,000.( Bovingdon, Jethro) The Bugatti Veyron horse power is 1001 hp which is very strong and it goes from 0-60 in 2.7 seconds.(Adams, Eric, Joe Brown,) The Bugatti Veyron top speed is 253 mph and it weighs 4350 Ib. However the Porsche 911 turbo has a lower price, between $137,360 - $140,780. The Porsche 911 turbo horse power is 480 hp which is less than the Bugatti Veyron. The Porsche 911 turbo goes from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. The Porsche 911 turbo top speed is 192 mph and it weighs between 3,650-3,750 Ib. (Renolds, Kim. "Topless Turbo)
In conclusion sport cars are very good but the problem is that not everyone can afford these cars because they are very expensive. I prefer the Porsche 911 turbo because it has a good price and its shape is better than the Bugatti Veyron. Also the spare parts are available in the Porsche company. Whereas most people can buy it, the  Bugatti Veryron  is too expensive and only rich people can buy it. The Porsche 911 turbo take less fuel than the Bugatti Veyron.

Lamborghini Performance

Lamborghini Performance
The LP570-4 Superleggera is the hardest Gallardo that Lamborghini makes. Here is what happens when they drop the roof. By Ben Pulman
The author Ben Pulman talks about the new Lamborghini and what  it has done for the people and the other car manufacturers. Also he compared Bentley and Ferrari with them to show that the new Lamborghini is better than them. He also talked about the Gallardo since it has begun.
The new Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera is better than the old one. It has a V10 engine that powers up 562bhp which has more horsepower  than the old one.  Its transmission has six-speeds, automated and manual,  that it can be automated while you are driving normally and when you are in the race mode you can use the manual transmission for the more power and performance.  The Superleggera Lamborghini can go from 0-100kph  in 3.9sec which is a very fast start. The Lamborghini is made from dry aluminium and the interior from carbon fiber. This is lighter for more speed. The new Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera Price starts from  $285,000 to $300,000. The new Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera is now on sale.
The new Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera is compared to other luxury cars like Ferrari, Bentley  and the R8 and the Lamborghini took the first place and is the best luxury car ever made. Its price is also good compared to other luxury cars.
